JAAM 2016 Program Committee

Program Committee Chair
Hiroshi Itoh
Four years have passed since 2014 when we served as a founding members of the Program Committee for the 15th Scientific Meeting of Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. Our term closes with this year’s Meetingand the next Program Committee will then take on the role. I would like to sincerely thank all of the committee members for their contributions these last four years.
In order to craft a practical program that doctors can immediately utilize in their practice, this year a 6th Committee (Private Practitioner Committee) joined the Program Committee. This year’s program focuses on clinical medicine aimed at equipping clinical physicians with new skills. For the 17 th Meeting, the program is 30% basic science and 70% clinical science. The unique program ranges from cutting edge science to practical clinical medicine, something made possible because of our Society. We also changed the number of superior presentations from 12 to 18 to increase the significance of general presentations at the Meeting. We eagerly await submissions from Society members.
Our meeting is near reaching 6,000 attendees of doctors with many different specialties and professions. We will work with the Program Committee to create a program that meets the needs of each individual attendee.
President
Kazuo Tsubota
We will hold the 17th Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine again this year in the Tokyo metropolitan area. It will be held at the Tokyo International Forum located in downtown Tokyo. Planning this Meeting will be the last undertaking for the Program Committee founding members who began in 2015. I am incredibly grateful to these founding members, including the Program Committee Chair, Professor Hiroshi Itoh. The Society also continues its work with the journal, Nature Partner Journal npj Aging and Mechanisms of Disease, and we will launch the “Gokigen Brain” project this year. Many young members are increasingly active in our general meetings making them more dynamic. I hope that all members join us at the Meeting to ensure it is a great success.
