13th Japan-Taiwan Conference on Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

Greeting

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great honor to welcome you to the 13th Japan-Taiwan Conference on Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (JTCOHNS2015). The conference will take place at the Center for National University Finance and Management (Hitotsubashi Hall (National Center of Sciences)), Tokyo, Japan, from 3 to 4 December, 2015. The venue is located very close (100 m) to the emperor’s palace and you will find it easy to go to various famous places from the venue by taking a subway or taxi.

The organizing committee has put together very attractive academic and social programs including keynote lectures, symposiums, panel sessions, oral sessions, and poster sessions.

The gala dinner will be held at Josuikaikan Hall, which is located next to the venue. The fine traditions of this conference will further promote academic interactions between both countries in the future and make mutual friendships last long.

Tokyo, with its mixture of traditional and modern urban life, has always been the popular destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. Tokyo will host the Olympics and Paralympics in 2020, and the city is now preparing for a definite surge in foreign visitors.

In addition to English, more guidance in Chinese is being promoted. Taiwanese account for the largest group of foreign visitors to Japan, with 2014 marking the third consecutive year that the number has set a historic high. Free Wi-Fi services and foreign currency ATMs are increasing throughout Japan to aid tourists.

We are looking forward to sharing a memorable time in Tokyo, and hope that our conference will be beneficial, enjoyable and inspiring to all the participants. We also hope this conference to be a good opportunity for those who seek for new friends and collaborations.

Sincerely yours,

Tatsuya Yamasoba, MD, PhD
Conference President
